Dear Family,
How are you? I am well—this week we were busied somewhat; Elder
Gardner and I have been in and out of the office, etc, this week, but
we did manage to have some good lessons with members, or rather, we
brought some of our stellar investigators to the houses of less-active
members. Yesterday we visited two families with Zenón, who has been
waiting almost a year and a half now to be baptised, and I thought
that it was a general help to everyone involved.
This morning, in the continuing secretary saga, I accompanied a senior
couple to get their DNI, get a piano, etc, so I was occupied in
travelling with them this morning. I also did DNIs on Wednesday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday and Saturday we were on exchanges with
various Elders in the afternoon, so though Elder Gardner and I haven't
been much together this week, we have seen things somewhat shuffled
up, so it has helped us to be a bit extra enthused—it's helpful for us
to hear what's happening in other parts of the mission.
Right now our apartment is extra-full! The four Elders of the Los
Boulevares branch have moved into our apartment while they seek a new
one. Thus, we're presently eight missionaries in our apartment, but
it's rather spacious and we do have two bathrooms with showers, and a
goodly stock of food. We could be ten too, if two of us office Elders
start training new oficinistas!
We're looking forwards to a week of éxito.
Love,
Elder Schlachter
P.D. I've attached a picture of an Elder Moore and I—would this be the one? [Elder Moore is serving in Ottawa]
