I realize that you teamed up with a new companion last week and, as such, may not need the harpsichord music you requested. However, I'm still wondering if you received the music Matthew sent you. Also, have you received any of your birthday cards yet?
I haven't receive the music, and the birthday cards haven't arrived
yet; mail from the mission office arrives every three weeks or so! I
expect the next delivery this week.
Here's the last question for the man who once worked in the office. If your parents wanted to make a trip to Argentina to let you play tour guide for them for a week or so at the end of your mission, how would we go about that?
You need to first write to the mission secretary, Elder Rowse (my
office son). He'll send back a
little form letter that explains various details, and generally help
in coordination and advice. Specifically, you'll need to consider more
or less what the plans are, then advise President Salas and the Church Travel department, etc.
Generally the ideal situation is to plan for a pickup on either Monday
afternoon (Nov 19) at about 3:00 pm (after the final dinner with
President), or early (8 or 9 am) on Tuesday morning (when everyone
else is off to the airport). A stay of about a week is typical. Elder
Rowse can help with all sorts of details (flight times, directions,
advice for communicating with President, etc, etc, etc).
The week has gone well. Elder Espínola is a good worker. We're finding
new people and working to strengthen the branch. Today we're going to
nearby Marcos Juárez to play soccer with as many kids from Leones as
we can bring; it's an improvised youth activity!
Love,
