November 28, 2011, Villa Belgrano, Cordova, Argentina

Dear Family,

It's been another busy week! This week we've set ourselves to
programming. Elder Gardner (the current financial secretary) studied
programming in university, and I'm somewhat handy, so he's designed a
financial database this week and I've designed (and am finishing) a
system for taking materials orders (e.g. for hymn books, DVDs, etc)
from the missionaries, integrated with the current inventory, and
integrated with the financial system for billing. We've both been
corroborating a bit with the coding. I'm neither financial nor
materials secretary, but have found some time to put it all together.

Also, Cristian was baptized this week! I was especially glad because
now the entire family is focused on being sealed in the temple as soon
as it's built (or sooner!). I know that families are eternal. I was
reading some of Joseph Smith's journals today
(http://josephsmithpapers.org/) and I know that he was a prophet, and
that the church has been established according to God's order and
will.

In the coming week we're looking forwards to starting the mission
Christmas Conferences, and I have several appointments to do visa
paperwork for missionaries.  (photos)

Love,

Elder Schlachter

P.S. I do vaguely remember the side of the pyramid -- I'm pretty
confident that I did find a scorpion that day. They're somewhat common
here in Córdoba as well, but not indoors!
